To find out what a friend likes, or likes to do, we ask this question:
¿Qué te gusta? – What do you like?

Response:
Me gusta …. Me gusta el fútbol.

Los deportes – sports

¿Te gusta el fútbol? “te” refers to “you”
~ When you see the “te gusta” at the beginning of the question, you begin your answer with “sí” (yes) or “no” (no).

Sí, me gusta el fútbol. (affirmative)

No, no me gusta el fútbol. (negative)
*If the answer is in the negative (no), you begin with “no” and then say no me gusta.
